Ballet Kenya is a ballet school with an outstanding reputation, based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are qualified to teach the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from Pre-Primary to Solo Seal level. Offering classes for children ages 4 to senior, including Dance Teacher courses.

​We are committed to ensuring the students are trained in the highest calibre. Dedicated to offering excellence in dance training.

Classes are conducted in Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Character Dances and Historical Dance. With Workshops in Musical Theatre, Irish and Highland, by visiting guest teachers.

Charmaine has over 25 years of international teaching experience and to teach the R.A.D. syllabus from Pre-Primary to Solo Seal level. Charmaine is a Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance (London) and past Mentor for the R.A.D. in East Africa.

Kui (Marisa) Kariuki

RAD Principal and Assistant Artistic Director

Kui is the first Kenyan in the history of the RAD (Kenya) to obtain the RAD CBTS (Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies). She specialises in teaching the RAD syllabus.

Melvin Magina

Freelance Dancer

Currently training in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance with Ballet Kenya.

Melvin teaches Afro-fusion at several Outreach schools.
